And people always make fun of Kansas.

I just read a really funny and kind of sad statistic. It seems that only 52% of seventh graders in Indiana can pass the state's mandatory science exam. Ouch.

What's worse is what Iran Floyd (what an unfortunate name) the school superintendent said about the results:

"I think it speaks to the high level of science we teach in our schools...I'm just proud of our students and all their grades. It just goes to show that teachers are doing a great job, and they have a lot of parent support."

Floyd must be suffering from a serious case of the Lowered Expectations.
